Digital Content Executive (Part-time)
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Commitment: 1 day per week, potential to extend to 2 days. 3-month contract with potential to extend
Remuneration: Up to £200/day, dependent on experience

About us.
The British Sauna Society is the UK’s voice for authentic sauna culture. We’re a not-for-profit social enterprise working to raise awareness of the health, social and cultural value of sauna, connect a growing community, and support high-quality sauna development across the UK.
The role.
We’re looking for a talented and proactive Digital Content Executive to help us manage and grow our digital presence. This is a hands-on role for someone who can write with clarity and creativity, manage multiple content streams, and make sure our online channels reflect the vibrancy of the UK sauna movement.
You’ll be working closely with the Directors to keep our website fresh, develop newsletters, draft blogs, and support social media activity. You’ll also help us build a consistent digital voice and ensure our platforms remain easy to navigate and engaging for members, partners and the wider public.
Key responsibilities.
Write, edit and publish content across our website, newsletters, and blogs.
Manage and update our Squarespace website to ensure content is accurate and up-to-date.
Develop and schedule newsletters through Mailchimp, supporting audience growth and engagement.
Draft and edit blog posts, liaising with contributors where needed.
Produce and adapt content for social media, ensuring alignment with campaigns and projects.
Monitor content performance and suggest improvements.
Ensure all content is consistent with the BSS brand voice and accessible to a broad audience.
Requirements.
Is an excellent writer, able to adapt style for different formats and audiences.
Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Experienced in using digital platforms such as Mailchimp, Squarespace, and project management tools.
Confident in managing content workflows from draft through to publication.
Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
Enthusiastic about digital communication and open to learning new skills.
Has a background or strong affiliation with sauna culture.
Interested in health, wellbeing, or cultural community projects.
3 - 5 years in digital communications, content management or a related role.
