The Saunaverse is back at the Community Sauna Baths with the second instalment of the UK's first sauna festival. Fill your ladles to the brim for 12 hours of unlimited wood fired sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, music, dance, workshops, sauna rituals, performance, and more.

There are an endless number of saunas in the world and most of them are still unknown. Sauna Day is all about letting everyone know where and how to experience sauna no matter what part of the world you are in! Sauna Day is about sharing the sauna community and warmth across the globe - Bringing saunas and people closer to one another.

Traditional Oral Storytelling and Sauna Mastering are two discrete traditions that Fleur has brought together in her practice as a sauna storyteller which aims to connect people to nature through sauna story experiences. This workshop welcomes sauna owners and practitioners who are interested in working with story, and storytellers, who are curious to find out more about sauna storytelling.

Join Studio Puisto for a panel discussion from Sauna: The Power of Deep Heat author Emma O'Kelly, Finnish sauna and wellness entrepreneur and developer Ville Iivonen, Studio Puisto partners Mikko Jakonen and Heikki Riitahuhta, and our director of global hospitality development Sam-Erik Ruttmann.

The panel will focus on how public saunas are revolutionising the wellness industry. We will discuss exporting Finnish sauna design to international destinations, and cover what elements contribute to the creation of a year-round and attractive sauna facilities.

On Saturday 2nd March, we’ll be getting together with other BSS members to enjoy a sunset sauna at Sea Scrub Sauna Margate. From 5-7pm, we’ll be trying out the first mobile Saunum cube sauna in the UK while (hopefully) enjoying one of the best sunsets in Europe. The sauna is also right next to a tidal pool, giving the option of a sea plunge as well as the usual freshwater barrel.

We have booked a session at Rob and Josie Da Bank’s Slow Motion Sauna pop-up at King’s Cross at 1 pm this Sunday 21st January, as our January sauna meet-up in London.

Barry Sykes, British Sauna Society 'Artist in Residence', will use the stepped seating of the Sweheat sauna cabin as an ideal life drawing studio, in this chance to relax, experiment, and understand more about how our bodies behave in the heat.

Welcome to the Wild Spa Wowo pop-up sauna – bringing all the feel good benefits of deep heat, cold contrast and delicious steam to the heart of Lewes!

Our artist-in-residence Barry Sykes will be leading a class/demo/performance of what he calls 'An Introduction to Laugh-guss', an experimental procedure that overlays Laughter Yoga with the German Aufguss sauna ritual.

This will be the first full-length exploration of this discipline he’s invented. Designed to double up the catharsis and collective pleasure that both provide.

Community Sauna Baths in Hackney Wick have organised a special pre-cinema sauna session and a free door-to-door minibus transfer from the sauna to the cinema. The sauna session starts at 6 pm.
