Wendy Liu

Wendy is an architect, artist, wellbeing enthusiast and advocate. She is a co-founder of the British Sauna Society and led the Arts and Culture programmes while serving as a trustee from 2020-2025. She is a board member of SaunaAid, a global initiative providing mobile saunas and support services to people affected by natural and man-made disasters, promoting the healing power of sauna worldwide. Wendy is also a sauna ritual practitioner, yoga and qigong teacher, freediver, and ice diver. She dedicates herself to merging arts, culture, and wellbeing to address pressing contemporary issues. Together with her partner Mika, they run sauna rituals, wellbeing retreats, and educational programmes as Saunawave, continuing their lifelong passion for authentic sauna culture, wellbeing, and vitality. Originally from China, Wendy lives in London, UK and travels worldwide.
