Aufguss UK Championship - Participant Advanced Training Intensive – Modern Classic & Performance

Join us at Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel, Stoke-on-Trent on 19th and 20th March 2026 for an exclusive, high-level Aufguss training experience designed for participants and aspiring competitors of the Aufguss UK Championships, which will be held in Northern Ireland in April.

This event is proudly supported by the British Sauna Society, enabling a significant reduction in costs for participating Sauna Masters and making world-class training more accessible to the burgeoning UK Aufguss community.

The two-day interactive experience is led by Eliska Zídek Blažek and Kačka Šmídová - UK mentors, internationally respected Aufguss professionals, and members of the Aufguss World Championship–winning team. The focus is on advancing towel technique and ritual delivery for both the new category of Modern Classic as well as Performance Aufguss, with specific guidance and knowledge sharing around skills used in competitive environments.

To prepare for the programme an online webinar is available led by renowned theatre director James Grieve, in which he offers structured guidance on story development, theming, and creative intent to support the development of truly immersive Aufguss experiences. This supports the in-person training focus on refining execution, performance quality, and technical excellence.

This hands-on training explores the evolution of Aufguss from traditional sauna ritual to modern competitive performance, combining strong technical foundations with expressive, competition-ready delivery. Participants will receive personalised feedback on movement, airflow, structure, timing, presence, and the key elements judges assess at championship level.

What you can expect:

  • Advanced towel techniques for precision, control, and efficiency

  • Refined ritual structure and storytelling for competition

  • Performance coaching focused on presence, confidence, and clarity

  • Practical, individual feedback from world-class mentors

  • Pre-training creative support to maximise in-sauna learning time

This is a special opportunity to learn from and with international Aufguss experts and is offered at an accessible price to participants to encourage and sustain professional development in this field of sauna practice. It also offers a great way to connect with fellow practitioners and help build a strong UK Aufguss community.

Sign up now to elevate your own Aufguss practice and train with champions in an exceptional setting.
