Level 1 Sauna Master Training with the International Bath Academy

Katie Bracher (@Saunamasteruk) and the team at Wild Spa Wowo are delighted to be hosting the magical Birute from the International Bath Academy to offer a unique Lithuanian Sauna Master Level 1 training.

Filling the sauna with scents of the forest through whisking, Lithuanian sauna tradition is all about creating a connection with nature. 

This is a 3 day introductory course of healthy sauna basics and an introduction to whisking; suitable for people with limited sauna experience or more regular sauna goers who would like to develop their skills and whisking techniques to use on friends, family, develop a sauna therapy practice or to extend your offerings in your own sauna space. This training is an incorporates steam, different whisking techniques and it's benefits, leaf whisking massage, bodywork sauna basics and theory. 

What to expect:

Wednesday, June 7th

13:00-16:00 Lithuanian Pirtis ABC - an introduction to a Lithuanian Pirtis Experience and self whisking in a group 

Thursday, June 8th

10:00-12:30  Introduction to Lithuanian pirtis. Whisks in Lithuanian pirtis

12:30-13:30 Lunch

13:30-15:30  Basis of whisking.

15:30-16:30 Introduction to sauna bodywork (dry practicing on massage tables)

Friday, June 9th 

10.00-13.30 Introduction to sauna bodywork (in sauna)

13.30-14.30 Lunch

14.30-16.00 Light whisking (dry practice) 

16.00 -18.00 Light whisking (in sauna)

You will receive a Certificate for this training from the International Bath Academy


Cancellation Policy: 

Tickets are non-refundable once booked. 

To transfer to another date, we will need at least 2 weeks notice and there will be a £30 admin fee.

By booking your ticket you are agreeing to the above cancellation policy.


Important information:

-   We are based within a campsite. If you would like to book accommodation, please head to www.wowo.co.uk for camping pitches and glamping options. 

-  If you are happy to, we will create a Whatsapp group for all students so you can get to know the group ahead of the training and share lifts, accommodation etc. where possible.

- Timings can vary slightly from above. We will contact you closer to the training with more accurate schedule. Please let us know if you have specific time restrictions such as a pre-booked flight. 

- We will make a nourishing communal soup for each day + have some snacks and water provided but aside from that please bring your own food. It is worth noting that we are not close to any shops or cafes although there is a nicely stocked campsite shop open during the day.
